Modular Air Knives with exceptional blowing power
The AB Series air knives stand out for their outstanding blowing force, achieved through a dual air stream on both sides of the blade. Installation is simple – using two neodymium magnets and brackets, allowing precise adjustment of the airflow direction according to application needs. They are highly effective for cleaning, drying, and cooling.
Coanda Effect Principle
Air amplifiers and air knives utilize the "Coanda effect" – a phenomenon describing the tendency of a fluid stream to follow the contour of a nearby surface. The effect is named after aerodynamics pioneer Henri Coandă, who patented several instruments in 1936.
Compressed air supplied to the amplifier or air knife is forced through a narrow opening between 0.02 mm and 0.08 mm, causing surrounding ambient air to be drawn toward the surface in the direction of the flow. This increases the total air volume by 5 to 20 times compared to the initial supplied volume.
